Ensuring BPM Success
Current State

Process is embraced because companies realise that they wont kill the business by taking pragmatic, high confidence steps to improve it.

The business is an established enterprise software vendor that is now starting a SaaS business in conjunction with its traditional activities. The technology core for both businesses is identical today. But the delivery and support infrastructure for the new business is dramatically different. \What should be done to effect the necessary change.

Create a new matrix business entity, enabling a new and different culture to emerge for delivery and support while changing only some of the existing organisation.
Point is that it is always about people in organisations.
Commercial Group
Current State
Establishment of an effective group for increasing sales in a certain population. Initial effort was great, but responsibilities grew became disorganized. The groups responsibilities got ahead of its abilities and efficiency lagged.
The Outcome
Broke down all implicit processes and defined it for the group. Efficiency improved and the group became more profitable.
Where to Start
Current State
Group wanting to start a BPM project is not sure how to organize or where to start.
Magical Outcome
The group gets Executive Sponsorship and commitment that the effort has the priority and attention that it deserves. There is buy-in across the entire organization and everybody is educated on the process that will be used. Everyone has a clear role and the metrics are defined.
